Steven's Salmon from the Clyde


Steven Walker ,Newmill fishery manager decided sometime ago that carbon fiber had no soul and that he was going to fish with split cane rods (made in a time when fishermen had to have muscles like carbon fiber to use their rods) and finally on Monday he had the success he was looking for with this perfect 11.5 lb salmon caught on a 50 year old 14' Sharpe's of Aberdeen "Scottie" split cane salmon fly rod using a yellow ally's shrimp

Shakespeare Tournament

A great day was had by all at the Shakespeare sponsored Fishing Frenzy Fun day competition, the sun shone all day on over 100 fishers who took part in several concurrent comps. with prizes for Fly fishing,Trout fishing,Coarse fishing and most important of all children's fishing all supplied by Shakespeare Fishing.Many thanks to all who took part ,it was intended to remind people that fishing is fun and that is exactly what it achieved
